Fund raising for the Shaftesbury Swimming Pool is well advanced with over half the money collected for the upgrade and roofing project. We won £50,000 from the People's Lottery after voters decided between Shaftesbury Swimming Pool and a project in Midsomer Norton Nr. Bath. The two projects were selected from approximately 30,000 hopefuls across the country. We will update this site with further news, please see the News Page for the latest information.

The aim is to roof the swimming pool and make other improvements. This will make the facility useable from May to September by people of all ages. Much work has been done by volunteers and others to enhance the Pool and it is hoped that it will be available for a much longer period in 2006.
